About La Casa De Esther

I still remember the first time I stumbled upon La Casa De Esther, a charming restaurant tucked right in the heart of Pedro González, in front of Plaza Bolívar, Venezuela. The moment you step through its doors, the vibe instantly feels like a cozy foodie friend has invited you over for a delicious meal rather than just another restaurant stop. What makes this place so special isn’t only the delightful fusion of Caribbean‑Latin and Venezuelan flavors, but also the way it blends a laid‑back, welcoming atmosphere with seriously thoughtful cuisine. You can choose to sit outdoors and enjoy the breeze while sipping on a glass of wine or a refreshing cocktail, or head inside for a relaxed dine‑in experience; takeaway is always an option too if you want to bring a taste of this spot back with you. From coffee in the morning to beer and spirits later in the day, there’s something on the drink menu to suit every mood, and vegan and vegetarian options make it easy for everyone to find something they’ll love. Small plates and quick bites punctuate the menu, perfect for sharing stories over bites with friends, while the heartier dishes deliver bold, satisfying flavors that speak to the soul of local cooking. What truly elevates the experience at La Casa De Esther is how all of this comes together without feeling forced - every sip, every small plate, and every smile from the team feels like part of a laid‑back conversation you don’t want to end. It’s more than just a meal; it’s the kind of place you tell your friends about because it captures the essence of enjoying good food in a warm and unpretentious setting, right at the lively center of community life in Pedro González.

In a national heritage house, near the emblematic Caribe Beach, there's a magical restaurant run by Esther. Each dish served is like a child to its creators, offering a reinterpretation of Venezuelan cuisine with flavors that evoke traditional Creole cooking. Managed by the owners, the place is adorned with a collection of varied objects and the comforting presence of the Virgin of the Valley. From the delicious Botuto tartare with sea urchin vinaigrette to the Jojoto creamed cazon with a crispy gratin, the starters are an explosion of incredible flavors. The main courses, both featuring monkfish fillet accompanied by turmeric and cinnamon rice and a green plantain salad, are distinguished by their different sauces: one with sweet chili cream and the other with chili and rum in brown banana sauce. Desserts like the papelon (brown sugar) ice cream with lemon and the coconut rice with auyama (pumpkin) ice cream pay homage to Mantuan cuisine while being innovative at the same time. It's an excellent place that every visitor to the island should experience to enjoy a unique fusion of traditional and new flavors in Venezuelan gastronomy

La Casa de Esther is truly one of the best restaurants you will find in Isla de Margarita. The place feels like a typical Venezuelan house, full of charm and character, and it’s like taking a step back in time. Every corner is different and special, adding to the magic of the experience. Esther, who is both the host and the chef, makes you feel right at home and adds a personal touch that makes everything unforgettable. We were amazed by her succulent food, full of unique and delicious flavors. I recommend going with an open mind, ready to try new things. Thank you Esther for the wonderful attention. Hope to see you again very soon!

I’ll just put it this way: Esther is truly a national treasure. She is the essence of being Venezuelan: warm, sweet and welcoming. Her food is just the reflection of who she is. This is a must if you go to Margarita Island. Every plate is spectacular and the prices are incredibly good.

This restaurant is outstanding! People call it a National Treasure in Margaritas Island, and has definitely earned that title. If you want to eat a delicious meal with excellent top quality service, I recommend you visit La Casa De Esther to try the best Ajís Margariteños and the best lemon pie that I’ve ever tried in my life
